Fabulous Hospitality
My husband and I spent one night here and were super impressed with the warm hospitality of the staff. The building itself is charming, with smaller rooms you would expect of the era. Worth noting about our room: 1) The bed was super comfortable! Pillow top with numerous down pillows to select from and very nice sheets and comforter. 2) The bathroom was generously sized, definitely bigger than you find in most contemporary hotels, with enough room to stow one of our bags and not feel cramped getting in and out of the tub, etc. 3) They have cable channels for the inevitable moment when you wonder what's on instead of one of those services - we found it funny an unique since we don't pay for cable at home. 4) The closet is an actual walk-in closet with the fridge, ironing board, and beautiful robes to borrow. 5) It was super clean - every surface was polished and dust free. We had a room on the "garden" side and it should be noted that you can hear the freeway noise a little. That did not detract from our quality rest time, and since I am a super light sleeper, it's safe to assume the noise is not that great for the average person wanting a peaceful night's sleep. Last but not least - the food is awesome, definitely local/fresh ingredients very well prepared, and more than price competitive with the typical hotel food you get out there. They even have good coffee. Lovely dining room with a sense of the history of the place. We will be back!READ MORE CLOSE -
Incredible Place!
TaraSalem, Oregon1 2Reviewed 4 days agoI thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Columbia Gorge Hotel! we’ve been talking about going there for years now and finally made it happen. Will definitely be going again! The setting is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the history is so amazing. We loved finding out The rich history and stories behind the building, and with the touches to personal rooms and the attention to detail all throughout the hotel, you almost feel as if you have taken a trip back through time.

Reviewed 1 week agoThe hotel is beautiful, the music in the piano bar was outstanding, and the food was excellent. The only thing I would have liked to see more of was historical information about the hotel. There was some, but there needed to be more! :) The gardens were amazing, even though it was winter. I bet they're spectacular when things are blooming!

Outstanding!
Volfsan1Reviewed 3 weeks agoGreat People are working here and highly supportive before, during, and at the end! The romantic package setup in the room before we arrived, a special arrangement to deliver a "surprise" room service, the dinner, room upkeep, and the checkout--all worked like a charm. Thank you CGH!

Cozy Accommodations; Friendly Staff
Kyle Callahan … reviewed Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa — 5 star
The historic nature of the hotel draws you in, but the cozy accommodations and friendliness of the staff make the stay enjoyable. We went to celebrate a birthday. The employees of the hotel made a note of this one their lobby events board. Little thoughtful personal touches like this and our excellent service while dining both for dinner and breakfast the next morning made us feel special. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bedding was excellent for a restful couple nights away. The shops, restaurants, and cafes of Hood River are just a short drive down the road. Hiking and biking trails are also close. We stayed mid-week, which was perfect for a quiet, restful retreat.READ MORE CLOSE -
