  • “Charming Hotel built in 1921 with beautiful views of the Columbia River & wind surfers! Our Lab was allowed to go everywhere except the restaurant; so we walked the wonderful curved walkways, arched bridges & enjoyed the gardens several times. Perfect lovely outdoor spot for a wedding also, with a river view behind the bride & groom!

  •  “This was a last minute reservation to attend a wedding in Parkdale. The gentleman who took the late night call was extremely helpful and offered much relief in a stressful moment. When we arrived, we fell absolutely in love with the property! We wanted to stay on the grounds and miss the wedding! From the amazing gals at check-in to the fun bellman who made sure we experienced the historic elevator, it was such by far the best experience checking in to a hotel that we've ever had! Dinner in the dining room was delicious and our server was a delight and guided us very well. The nightcap in the lounge was fun and the bartender was absolutely fantastic. All in all, we did not want to leave the next day, and cannot wait to come back for a longer stay! Thank you for a great experience.”

  • “A gem on the Columbia River - felt like we were in Europe. A staff committed to each guest's experience and making it memorable, our service from Thomas and his front desk team, as well as servers (we had 2 meals) was excellent and attentive to our every wish. Our corner room was truly a room with a view, overlooking the river. The bed was quite comfortable and the room had a fireplace, though we didn't use it (next time). The grounds were perfect for a walk about, weather as if ordered - lovely! Thank you again, we'd love to come back.”

Grand old hotel located on the Columbia River in Hood River, OR. It is located just off the Interstate Hwy with a view of Washington State and the Columbia River. Things haven't changed much over the last 100 years here. Enjoy a glimpse into the ages and spend a couple of nights here. Great, romantic and peaceful environment.
